Faywood Hot Springs is an oasis in the desert. It features geothermal heated natural mineral pools that have no sulfur smell and offers day passes, camping or a variety of other accommodations, including cabins, some of which are even pet-friendly.

Some of the grounds are clothing optional. Clothing is required in other areas, though most of the pools are clothing optional. The number and variety of pools is remarkable, each with a different temperature. They even offer hourly rental of private pools, though the public pools are not crowded.

Pricing is low and the grounds are very rustic and natural, which I feel enhances the experience. The staff are friendly and easy-going, much like the culture in southern New Mexico.

Soaking naked in a mineral bath under the New Mexico stars is an experience everyone should have at least once in their lives.
